Harry Potter is an orphan and lives with his aunts and his unbearable cousin Dudley. Harry feels very sad and lonely, until one day he receives a letter that would change his life forever. One day he is told that has been accepted as a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. From that moment, Harry´s luck gives a spectacular turn. In this school he learns spells, magic tricks and tactics against trickery. He becomes the school champion of Quidditch, a kind of basketball played in the air with broomsticks, and makes a lot of good friends, but also frightening enemies.
Joanne Rowling was born in Yate, Gloucestershire, the 31st of July, 1965. She is famous because she´s the creator of Harry Potter and his fantasy series. She had a daughter with her portuguese husband, but later they separated.
Her name is only Joanne Rowling, but her books weren´t sold because people didn´t buy fantastic stories written by a girl. So, she decided to write two initials. She chose her grandma´s name, Kathleen.
Joanne supports charities against the Sclerosis, and she donates approximately $1,2 million to them every year.
